Forecaster AccuWeather agreed, noting there were no organized tropical cyclones in the Atlantic basin. The tropical wave over the Yucatan Peninsula moving northwest was expected to meet up with a stationary front across the northern Gulf of Mexico and Florida, but it was unlikely to organize further, the forecaster added.
The six-month hurricane season officially runs until the end of November.
